Had a little time today and made a big mistake. I started to itemize the knives I bought recently and it wasn't good. What's worse is I've been bit by the gec bug. This is starting to get out of hand and my wife is starting to ask about all the packages coming in. I don't need to sell anything but when is enough enough? This is worse than the CZ bug I had. Don't know if I should have a spring cleaning sale or just burn my itemized list. Is there some type of meeting that takes place in this forum or what?

Doing your part to stimulate the economy, is all I am seeing....

Sell some here so you can buy more from dealers - tell your wife it's your civic duty!!

NEVER, NEVER take inventory of your GEC's, these are just some of the #15's:eek:

Ask yourself what you want in a knife, write down the requirements and dont be tempted to stray from that list. Be honest with yourself and close this book when you have achieved what your after. It can get out of hand:oops:

Hi, Im (name here) Im a knifeaholic....

I guess I have to ask what your objectives are with the GEC bug? I like GEC's a lot, but I have been buying a couple a year (not counting the forum knife). I stray sometimes, like with #14's, but in general I sort of know what I like and that is what I stick with. My problem is very simple; I don't use them, but I like them a lot. I'm not a collector. I carry a SAK and GEC's never reach my pocket. So, I just limit the number per year as best I can. I don't see myself going cold turkey.

If for whatever reason I have the knife buying bug, currently I go small fixed blade I can edc or a GEC slip joint.

I don't try to justify things.... better than lots of booze, meth, drugs in general..... if I like knives, I like knives.

I like to say a like the full gambit of knives. When I started making my own fixed blades I thought that would be it. I like knives that I can use but gec has done a nice job catching my eye. I have no plans on collecting any one group of knives just a little of everything . To most here it probably is a small collection(20 or so) not including my own which most get given away anyway.

You are in the wrooooong place if you’re looking for someone to hold you accountable for your knife purchases, especially those GEC beauties! But, then there is this....
