I just started collecting a couple knives. Bought a couple Benchmades, a Kershaw, a Spyderco, and dug out and cleaned up a couple old folders including my Boy Scout knife (been a loooong time since I was a boy!)
So my wife says, "What's up with all these knives?" and I told her it's a new COVID-inspired hobby. She says, "I've got a steak knife in my nightstand." She said it was for security when I used to go on days-long motorcycle camp trips and it made me laugh.
Seemed like a great excuse to buy another knife! Now she has a brand new purple Leek in her nightstand. After over forty years of marriage we found something new to do together. We sit in the living room, read our Kindles, and flick our knives.
