Well, Like many others today I received my Cultellus. This blade is my new favorite edc. It is going to make a perfect blade to work with in the kitchen or when dining at a restaurant. The only thing I am disappointed about it the fact I only ordered one. :(

Ah, I was gonna say... :p

I'd feel weird busting out my EDC (BM 710d2) at a decent restaurant and cutting my meal with it.

With a Cultellus though...it might be a diff story!

Uncle J--I like the company you keep, sir!

A girl needs a knife...

I find it amusing to whip out my Meaner at lunch while in a suit. I haven't received too many looks. I cut my baguette with mine daily. My new Cultellus will be more flashy than my Muddy Mnr though.

I used my game warden at a fancy steakhouse in NYC. When the waiter was passing out steak knives he complimented my knife and said "I'm sure you don't need one of these", referring to the awful serrated "knives" they give to customers.

Yea, It will be an upgrade for sure.....

I was wondering if they flex like a filet knife?
The waiting is going to kill me on this one....

is this knife the answer to all the people who wanted a bushcraft knife?

and what are those santokus called?

I predict the Cultellus will be a common sight at the Fogo dinner night at Blade in 2008.

This picture makes me long for the completion of my NICKs/XXXL NICKs.
OH GARTH!!!!!!!:D:D:D

After having a XXXL Nick and loving it I'd like to see an XL, I'm not sure I need a thin Nick.

Thick NICK is too much knife to me. I love my thinny for slicin and dicin. It deflects a bit, but it's 10x the slicer the XXXL is.

Those XXL's look nicely worn, UJ. I gotta get my thin used enuf to get that rounded front thing going. Bet it would chop better that way.

It is a personal thing for sure.... but when a knife easily flexes –and it isn’t a filet knife- it makes me need to go see my psychotherapist.:grumpy:
.

Oh no, nothing even close to a filet knife. But it would be pretty good for that. No flex though.

.125 was pretty much the gold standard for hunting knives not that many years ago. Most here in the south still prefer 1/8 over any other for deer and small game.

This knife is alot more than a mere steak knife. Using it for that didn't even cross my mind, even though it would be great for that to.

You'll love it in other words:thumbup:

That goes great with your NICK's Unkle J.
Thanks for the pics!

Actually the NICK with the lanyard is the only user out of the pair. It has been used for heavy chopping activities and batoning tree limbs. The other NICK has only been used once for cutting some steak...

I guess they are coming west! Hopefully it shouldn't be too long until us Nor Cal get some. Looking good Uncle J....and yeah, I'm wishing I had ordered 2 for me. Got 2 coming but one ain't mine!
