I realize that this is a bit whimsical, but now that Cold Steel has proven that his beautiful designs are being produced with inferior, combat-unworthy materials and workmanship at CRKT, I think Cold Steel ought to approach James Williams for some collaborative efforts. Like Lynn Thompson, Williams has always been very serious, methodical, and unapologetic in his approach to the combative application of the knife. And his appreciation for the Japanese cutting arts is definitely in keeping with Cold Steel's focus.
I've long thought a Thompson/Williams collaboration would make for some exceedingly interesting bladeware. How cool would a Tri-Ad Otanashi noh Ken be? Or what about a San Mai Hissatsu? Awesome to think about!
Now's the time, Cold Steel. See if you can lure James Williams away from CRKT with the promise of some quality manufacturing!
