On the eve of 5/01, it seems fitting to start the speculation on the next stealth run. In the last video for Mango Bird, we heard morse code for 5 0 1. Is that the launch date or the model number? Since the last one was on 4/01, and the first one on 1/10, it seems like May 1st might be a too soon for #003. But who knows...?

Buck has said that the Stealth program was created to test new materials and processes, so I'm doubting we'll see a whole new model or designed released this way. More likely we'll see some modification or modernization of existing models. I'm hoping to see a 501 with a pocket clip and thumb studs.

However, the music in the Mango Bird video was titled The Memphis Blues. There were blue props throughout the video, but one stood out from the rest - the frame of a blue Vantage large! Will we see an aluminum Vantage, similar to the Marksman or Deploy, with either anodization or Cerakote?

Buck made some aluminum scales vantages in the past. I own a couple of them. they were smaller sample runs to see how they did. years back Mike bought out the ones left and sold them here to a few of us. I kinda like them....the vantage works well in aluminum scales.

A 501 with a pockrt clip would be interesting. But they'd have to do some sort of new steel or anodizing or something. So I don't think that's it.

How about something different.

Maybe a Nessmuk. Flat grind....

Or a camp knife where the blade extended below the bottom of the handle.
A good nessmuk could do that as well with the proper handle design.

They could spray Cerakote all over it.....😎
(they're gonna anyways.....)

I'd buy one.
