Just arrived today, the Stedemon ZKC C-02 Reverse Tanto flipper with brownish G10 scales and a 440c blade.
Some spec's first
Blade is a hair over 3 3/4" long
Thickness at the top of the spine near the pivot is 4.1mm
Edge thickness at the top of the bevel approx. .025"
The edge arrived quite sharp, which was surprising. The blade's grind is very well done, as are the edge bevels, even on both sides, which helps on sharpening.
Handle is about 4 7/8" long
Scales are G10 and the torx size to remove any of the screws is a T6
Handle thickness across the spine is .54" thick
From the back of the handle to the center of the guard area is just over 1" wide, making it a secure gripping handle, for me at least.
The G10 scales are hollow ground, concave which provides some nice grip area, tie that in with the light texturing makes for a good compromise.
The clip has good retention, only one position, right hand carry, tip up, which also suits my normal carry mode.
Flipping action is very good with solid lockup.
There is just the one metal liner that is nested into the lock side G10 scale, the other side is just G10, but it is thick enough that it feels solid, no flexing that I could notice.
The blade, really nice if you like the tip lower in this manner, they call it a reverse tanto, it's more along the lines of a modified wharncliff but of course an abrupt drop to the point. For me I think it will make a solid EDC with a more utilitarian type work. The blades curve allows for a rocking motion that will help in food prep as well. There is a cutout at the base of the blade that will allow you to choke up for more detailed cutting.
at a 'reasonable' price, right now just over $64 plus shipping, it has a lot of great features. Here's a couple shots taken of it tonight.
