Steel D-Guards? Pics?

Good evening,
I just saw the picture of a Battle Saw with a steel D-Guard on and I really like the looks of it!
I also think it's quite a nice knuckle protection, but so is a paracord guard. I just like the steel option better...
Can someone please tell me who makes these or where to get them?
Or where could I go in my city to ask if they could make one for me? A locksmith maybe?
Also, how is a steel D-Guard attached to the holes?
Thanks!
Jakob

They were made a while ago. Can't get them. I've been watching the exchange for over a year for one. Hell I'd trade infi for one

I doubt a locksmith would be able to, but a machinist/ metal fabricator could, it would probably use solid pins or something similar, or bolts if you want to be able to remove it easily, where did you see it?

Edit: oh, actually there are probably people on this forum that could make it too...

It's a Holy Terror ( Tearer )...the "Advanced Search" function is your friend...my little gift to you, Merry Christmas ;):)

Well, I would not trade Infi for one, but I will ask a machinist, maybe I will be able to find someone who will make me one.
Thanks Petey, I will have a look!
I think a black steel d-guard would look great on my new aged bronze cgfbm...

The Holy Terror (Tearer) were made around the early 90s I think. The came with their own handle, some with scales, some cord wrapped, some satin(ish), some bead blasted. They are made of D2 and have threaded holes in it so screws will fit through the talon holes of various Straight Handle Busses and secure it to the knife.

If someone wants to share pics of busse knives with d-guards, preferably non-paracord ones, that would be great.
I will try to have one machined for me, and pics would be very helpfull!

If you Google image search Busse Holy Tearer, lots of good pics come up. Probably more than you'd get here.

The original Holy Terror/Tearer may not fit the new generation of Straight Handles, as found on the ASHBM.

Somebody here made and sold a D-guard from a piece of bicycle or motorcycle chain. Looked pretty cool.

Do you remember if it was welded (/soldered) solid? That actual wouldn't be all that hard to do, bicycle chains even come in various thickness, so you could probably make them to match different knives...

Thats a great idea, I am going to have look into building this. I like it.

There was also one with micarta handle slabs. I'll see if I can find a pic of mine and post it up.
Here is a pic of the one I have. The handle is removable and it can then be attached to one of the original SH's.

Here it is in a custom sheath made by Okuden. It carries great and would do some real damage if you just started slashing with it.

I should have read this whole thread better. Good pics there, thank you for the information. Certainly appreciated. I really like the looks of this. I am really considering a CNC. It looks like it can be made by hand. CNC would be much easier. I will have to work on something though. Thanks for the information. Love this look.

I remember seeing bicycle chains used. The pins would go through the talon holes. I might try it on ASH Battle Grade.

I believe on Pinterest I saw one made like this and it looked seriously brutal. I also saw one made from a welded chain saw blade that reminded me of something out of a Mad Max movie. But man did it look sweet. I think the older I get the worse I get with my "toys" lol. I am the point the wife just gives me that disappointed look and she walks away. She don't even complain anymore lol. I have wore her down.
