Does anyone know where I can get a steel disc for my 9" variable speed disc grinder? I would like one with the side beveled back from the face for getting into the corners of slip joint back squares. I have an inquiry in about the Nielsen hub system but just curious if anyone knew of another source. I know that @Nathan the Machinist made some a while back but other than that?

I got lucky and found one on ebay a couple yrs ago for cheap

there’s a company that sells a 12” one one line. Can’t recall the name. If I had to get another 9” one I’d consider getting the 12” and cutting it smaller and then have it turned to size

I think he may be talking about the Shopsmith 12" disc. I searched and saw where HSC had mentioned it a while back but I could not find where it mentioned the arbor size. I also saw some comments about it not being well balanced.

Yes shopsmith as I recall
I don’t know about the balancing of that specific one but it seems odd that it wouldn’t be balanced properly...I haven’t actually used one
For $60 plus shipping would be worth a try.
