Does anyone know if the ZT Hinderer collaborations are compatible with the Steel Flame accessories? And is the 45acp Lockbar Stabilizer compatible with the ZT 0300 line?

Steel Flame normally works with custom makers, as opposed to companies. Not saying that they wouldn't, just that there is no precedence. The .45 will not fit the ZT lockbar. D gave me one to try out. It fit perfectly on my Strider Dauntless, but was way too small for the ZT.

I don't have a 0300 but some of us made our own for our Striders. I also found the Hinderer LBS on my Strider would fit in my 0551. It's pretty easy once you find the case head that will fit.

Good to go, thanks for the info. So to make a lockbar stabilizer from a bullet, you just take an expended cartdridge, cut the rim off, and drill a hole where the primer was for the screw? That seems frighteningly simple.

That's pretty much it. You may have to do a bit of filing on the base so it's level and fits the way you like. The spent primer actually stays in the pocket as the flash hole is larger than the screw head. You drill through the spent primer. Sometimes it will want to spin out but it's easily put back in. I found 9mm and .38 super to be the right size on the Striders.

^ That is about how I did it, .45's and .44's are perfect for ZT 30X's. I used a cutoff wheel on my dremel and a spent casing from shooting earlier in the day. After that I took a small drill bit and drilled through the center of the primer (Easy to do since that is where the firing pin strikes) Then I sanded the primer down to make the screw head recessed. Took about 20 minutes.

Ok can someone make a tutorial?

Look...it's as easy as it sounds. Do you have access to some empties? You might need a couple of tries before you see what you need to do.

First, drill through the SPENT primer. Use a bit close to the size of the screw shaft diameter. You do need the primer as the flash hole is larger than the screw head.

Next, take a hacksaw or Dremel and cut the lip of the cartridge at the gap in the case. This will give you some material to work with.

Then, see how it fits.

Now use a file to hand fit the case to the recess in the knife for proper height etc..

That's it. Takes about 15 minutes.

The pic with the 0551 Hinderer LBS came from one of my Striders. The case rim LBS' I made for the Striders are from 9mm and 38 Super. My guess is they would work with the ZT as well.

That's it man! 20 minutes and saves $60 bucks.

thanks man. I personally don't have any spent 38 rounds except for one for a necklace but it sounds like a good time to make some spent rounds... haha
