Hi,

There are a Couple of Steel wich i have Acess in My Country.

AISI 1060 ; 9260 ; D2 ; O1 ; O2 ; L6 ; 52100

This Ones i Currently using 1060. ( The Others aren´t as easy to heat treat or some just dont take good Hamon)

But the Real Question Starts Now!

I have Found some Un-Usual Steel's 50100 Crovan or 1095 V or Carbon V Steel, whatever.

(This One seams rather Good, since i don't find any 10XX series besides 1060)

Chimical Composition

AND C3 Steel (Wich is similar to 1050 without anything besides Carbon)

So i thought this steel looks rather Good (Carbon V) if i used like a Inner Bar Core for the Blade of AISI 1060 ou C3(anything Esle?), with two Bars of Carbon V this would decrease the Carbon Content of the Steel Avoiding Britleness.

Good Ideia? Or should i just use it has a Mono-Steel.

By Convencional Methods (Big Forge, and Oil Tempering at 175/200C , and Hammers! ( NO Power Press Thing))
9260, gets heat treated easier then L6, and L6 is easier then 52100 right?

Best Regards
