so now that i have the pizza cutter, im thinking that the steel heart 1 should be right around the corner. im not quite ready to pick one up immediately though, so i dont want to put this in the WTB section. but what do you guys think i will be looking at spending? has anyone picked one up recently and got any info to the "going price?" and yes, i know that it is all relative to whatever im looking to spend, but im trying to gauge a potential price range. thanks

Being one who enjoys OCD, I would be so looking for a SH1 now. You really scored with the PizzaCutter, but they are more than I can swing at this time...not that I have come across more than the 1 that was offered awhile ago either. more pix plz!!

I don't have one, and I'm not in the market, but from what I've seen you can expect to pay anywhere from $450 to $650.

$650 for pristine NIB, $450 for a user.

Depending on condition anywhere in between.

Like I said, I just can't justify (or rationalize) that in my tax-bracket! Maybe SanityClause will bring me one if I'm... uh... not really bad?

I would buy them all day long at $450! I haven't seen any for less than $700 recently, good luck finding one for much less, just my 2 cents.

:D

Hey randucci! What defines the SH1? The A2 steel and solid fasteners? Thanks...

SH1s have a wider, shorter blade, the blades are also made from ATS34. Look at the two in the upper right corner and compare them to the three on the bottom of the right row (the third one down is a prototype).

You DO buy them all day long.

If you see one (SH-I) in fair condition for $700.00 US you done pretty well!
at $450.00 I think I could afford six right now.

The Market for Busse collectables took about a two and a half Maybe three year minor slump.

With the worst of the slump in the Straight Handled Steel Heart II variants.
There were alot of them on the market over the last three years.

Seems to be pretty much over for now with a fair gain in value in the "Classic"
Busse's, and the recently under valued mini's, also nice gains in the ZT line.

If I could find a SH1 for 650 I'd be doing a jig! :D:D And selling lotsa extra stuff for the fundage. I watched one go for 800 a few months ago. Wish, I'd a gotten in on one during that slump, and yea I remember that. I was wishing for lots of extra funds. ;)

I got a pristine SWAT prototype SH 1 a few months ago for $600, and felt like a thief.
