If you have held an original SHe and a SHe2, which one do you like better for handle comfort?
I realize handle comfort is very subjective based on a person's hand size and structure, and personal preferences.

Here is a link to a post by Jerry regarding the differences in the handles.

The difference in handle height shown in the CAD drawing overlay looks like a good change to me. I think the extra grip width will also be helpful.

I have a SHe2 on the way, so I will let you know my opinion after it arrives.

I've only held a SHergo original. Long ago, I ground the handle down on the spine to make it straighter in my palm. That swell along he handle spine was too much.

I like the original, because I have meaty hands (insert sausage finger joke here) and the scales on the original are thinner.

But I do like both and the MS-E is one of my favorites

I don't have an original, but do have the newer SHe2. At first, I was not sure, but after playing with it, using it outdoors, and realizing the genius of the handle's design--it works as a "hand filler" for big and small hands, and it is comfortable. Also, the contours are such that I can hold it near the bottom for a powerful snap-cut or choke up for mundane cutting tasks.

The balance is perfect and it handles very well for a knife of its size. I had a friend bead blast the coating and hand buff it and it is my favorite knife in its size range. The edge angle was reprofiled to a convex 20 degrees per side also.

I am glad I have it and can say happily that I won't part with it. You will like yours too--it is a great knife
