Wow:eek:

Wish I could find one of those :D:D
Can't believe they actually kept the receipt.

What an awesome find. ;):D

Well, looks like I got screwed again. At least I didn't
pay this time. Sorry guys!!!!!:( :o

Hey guys, I guess if you want to see these pics, you
have to got to Image Station. Here is the album address.
Again I apologize. Maybe somebody else could put these in
the archives!!!!

Busse Steel Heart I

That looks like quite a nice knife, quite a bit more robust than the current generation. I would not mind seeing one of similar build with a BM length blade.

I bought this knife about a year and a half ago for $150...

Kinda wish I hadn't sold it... :(

Wulf, that looks just like some thing Busse would (did) make :)

Great design, wish I could find an original copy...ANYONE !!!!

MAYBE there is some one in Illinois that would like to make some money off of one they just got :)
If so email me.....

Well, a few folks have followed this knife thread and show a bit of confusion( must have been two of these 93 Steel Hearts ) WRONG. If you have been following, the seller Andy "Froghollow" *****, put up this SH for sale. Now, I have a safe full of Busse's but wasn't aware of this ones value...which differs on what is the value to each individual, but I knew the asking price was a good deal. I sent him the first email and we agreed on a price with shipping. When I asked for his address to send the USPS money order, he sent it to me along with telling me that others offered a bit more but since I was the first, and "HE WAS A MAN OF HIS WORD", which in the listed profession he should be, certainly not old school, he honored our deal, and posted THE LUCKY WINNER IS FROM ILLINOIS. I sold a Straight Handled Battle Mistress to a friend whos been eyeballing it,which because I am a man of my word I won't ask for back, took the cash and obtained a USPS money order for the total plus shipping and sent it to him. Emailed him as a followup to let me know when it showed up at his place, no responses until a response of....No way I can sugar coat this but I received emails on the value and have "taken it off the market" and am sending your check back...,bull****. I'm not sure but I believe someone "Chipped" into this deal. Well so much for MEN OF THEIR WORD. Hey didn't someone mention driving to pick it up,hummmm PA. would have been a very short trip for somebody..and pics posted before I got my check back...imagine that... Well, thats why I woke up today, to learn something new.

Evolhd, Hey guy, wasn't me. I emailed Froghollow and
he said it was sold. Jerry sent me these pics to post.
I thought it was your knife????
Sorry for the confusion, but I don't own a Birdsbeak
Steel Heart!!!!:(

evolhd,
Sorry to hear you didn't get it :( We all thought it had gone to you.

I appreciate that you are upset the seller didn't complete the deal, however, that is the sellers fault. I think it is unfair to blame someone on this board for the sellers lack of integrity. I have dealt with and met many of these "Busseholics" and we might joke about "intercepting" a shipment but we honor our words.

I know Chip and consider him a friend he wouldn't do anything dishonorable. Any disagreement or questions you had with him should have been handled off-line until the facts were straight.

I'm not standing up for anyone just pointing out the facts.

I really wish you would have got it for the price you paid. We all like to see someone score a good deal on a great Busse, and we would have been happy for you.

One thing the Busse Forum has always had going for it is an upstanding class of posters who respect others thoughts and ideas.
We don't get into the "namecalling" and childish behavior that you see all over the internet.
I will keep a close eye on this thread to make sure that continues.

Evohld,
I am the one who bought the Steel Heart 1.I live in Md. and yes,I did drive-up and meet with the seller.

You got a raw deal, but it wasn't by anyone that post here on a regular basis.

"WE" all thought that you did indeed have the knife that went up for sale, and that these pictures were of the 2nd knife that "Froghollow" said he had left in the safe.

I have to agree that the integrity of the members on this board is some of the highest you'll find on Bladeforums.

And from knowing these guys for a while I sure none of them, or myself would ever send an offer to a seller to even try to undercut a sale.

When Froghollow said he might have another in the safe. I did send an email asking him to contact me if he found it.
I have never heard from him.

Do I think you were screwed? YES.
Was it by any one that can be found here,or any one connected with this board? NO.

I know I speak for all here when I say,
"Sorry about what happened to you, if there is any thing we can do, just ask"

You might want to consider the GBU board for your story about Froghollow. Good luck, Chuck

aquatimer posted while I was typing and fixing breakfast for the "Kids"

Now all three players are known,
Froghollow, evolhd, and aquatimer.
Might I suggest privite email or the Good, Bad and the Ugly if you guys need to work it out. Thank you.

evolhd,

I did a little research and here's what I have found.

Chip didn't get the blade, he just did me a favor by posting the pics. Aquatimer did buy this blade legitimately and did not do anything to undercut anyone else's deal. I tried to email you off-line to explain this but was unable to ascertain your email. I apologize for not being able to put your actual name with your forum name but I can barely remember my own ;).. . . name that is.

Chuck said it best when he wrote, "Sorry about what happened to you, if there is any thing we can do, just ask"

Thanks,

Jerry
