Hey Peter,
The only factory sheath that I know is similar to the one SRKW sells for the Ratweiler. It's a Cordura sheath with plastic blade insert and a front pouch. The one SRKW sells is all black the one Busse used to have was tan. That's the only sheath I know of that they used to offer, but I believe it was offered with the SHe.

Coulda been one of several different combinations:
I've got one with a solid kydex sheath, integral belt loop, rather bulky set up
One other came with a nice drop leg type kydex sheath, the belt loop is nylon with a removable drop leg loop and nylon leg strap.
the BBSHSH2 I have came with an Eagle nylon/kydex sheath wich is very nice.
Guess its a toss up as to what they come with, but I'll bet a tek lok wasnt one of the original equipment options, never seen one that is.

Two of my older SHIIs have Kydex drop leg rigs with the folded Kydex and rivets down one side...quick attach nylon drop setup with leg strap. I have seen several pictures of round pommel SHIIs with this setup. If I'm not mistaken, the BBSHIIs were available with the Eagle Industries Nylon sheath. ...I would love to get one of these BTW

When I sold the knives started during the change from A-2 to INFI.
There were knives with the High Desert Lowride(with leg strap) The High Desert High ride(No leg strap), Cordura with insert and pouch, and Busse made folded Kydex.
However, Steelhearts with the slotted screw handle fasteners came out of the shop for at least a year after the tube type fasteners came to be common.
During this time I figure a number of Sheathmakers submitted examples of sheathes they wanted to supply to Busse, and Sheaths were a bottleneck in production from time to time, so alot of different sheaths were shipped from the factory with the Steel Heart in question.
When knives needed shipped they were stuck in what ever sheaths could be found at the time. if it was on the shelf or in a box a knife would get put in it and it would show up at my door.
It was alot like Christmas always surprises.
I never knew what the knives I would get would look like, or what sheaths
(If Any) I would get.
So, what was a factory Sheath is an interesting qustion.
Same with the Basic #9 and #7 and #3.

Ditto what Andre says. I had at one time 7 different SHSHII's and 7 different sheaths. I have (I think) the high desert low ride, but it is missing the leg strap, so it may be the high desert high ride. Who knows?
Also have one with the green(ish) kydex/cordura and one with a butt ugly fold over kydex sort of deal. None with tec lock though. Oh, and one kydex with a codura belt loop.
Like Andre says, it was like Christmas. When I bought one I never knew what was going to arrive. No 2 were ever alike.
