Steel in Western 71 fixed blade?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what steel Camillus used in the Western 71, fixed blade? I am referring to the later civilian type and not the L71 Seabee knife.

Also, anyone have any ideas on production years for the same and when they quit making them?
