Steel inserts in liner locks?

Is the Shiro F3 (possibly other shiros) - the only traditional liner lock with a steel lockbar insert? Obviously it's thick enough to compensate for this and most liners are not.

I'd count the ZT 0393 as a Liner lock with a LBI as well, or at least very close to it.

This is not. Specifically stated by zt it's a frame lock. Tho I can understand why you would think so due to the g10 overlay.

Yeah, I suppose it's inbetween, I wouldn't agree with the statement that it's a real framelock. Because without the scales it doesn't work, so it's more scale than overlay. But yeah it's kind of a hybrid/inbetween.

The new 2018 versions of the Microtech Socom Elite has an insert on its inset liner lock.
This is not a liner lock imho. Its a lock bar attached to an aluminum scale.

Just looking for any titanium liner locks with a metal lockbar insert like the Shiro in the op.

Honestly don't think there is any other knife that does that. Please prove me wrong I'm looking for more like this.

FYI- the Shiro steel inserts in their liner locks are press fitted, not screwed in place like majority of framelocks. I'd much rather have a carbidized titanium linerlock.

What do you mean, not a liner lock? It's an inset liner lock, just like how Kershaw/ZT does it.

If you only mean liner lock as in a traditional liner lock with a single-piece liner and locking spring, then I can't think of one. But an inset liner lock is a form of liner lock, regardless of your opinion on the matter.

It may be a form of one but it's not a traditional liner lock. These are normally just steel.

Or titanium, sure. But not all of them are that way, as noted. If you only want us to consider the traditional form of liner lock in your response, then specify in the original post.

I really don't consider the attached sub lock a liner lock. Sorry. I believe it to be it's own thing.

I'll modify the op.

In the first place, that's my knife in the OP, Mo2 Mo2 , so would you please put it back together? I bought that from @Mtneer a couple years ago and instantly recognize the pattern in that Python Micarta.

I just went through my knives and couldn't find any liner-locks with steel inserts. It strikes me that most liners are fairly thin, so it would be a neat trick to add an insert. It also strikes me that the preponderance of liners are steel anyway, rendering the use of inserts unnecessary.

I have a couple custom liner lock blades with steel inserts. They have worked perfectly so far! All are from MacWasil knives.
