Does any generation of the ad-10 have or ever had steel liners instead of aluminum liners or has it always had aluminum liners?

thank you

Did Cold Steel ever make an AD10 with steel liners?

According to the catalogs, the AD10 came out in 2019 with aluminum liners, and the liners remained aluminum through 2022 (last catalog year), and the current ones listed on Cold Steel's website says aluminum. The new Demko AD10 is advertised as having titanium liners.

Counterfeits might have steel liners.

I bought mine from BHQ,and I was unsure about the liners, the knife is flawless, blade is razor sharp out of box, fit finish is great, no blade play. Thank you all for clarifying my confusion

My only advice regarding the AD10’s aluminum liners, if you are one to disassemble your knives (like I am), do not use your steel tool bits, like your flathead screwdriver, to pry the g10 scales away from the aluminum liners during disassembly if you have to use something to pry them. The aluminum is comparatively soft and will ding/scratch up. Use a plastic or wood tool. Other than that, the AD10 is about as tough as they come for actual use.
