One of my mega folders has CTS bd1 Steel. The rest of them I have are either aus8a or aus10a. Is this a unusual steel for a old steel knife? My take is I like it. Plus it is more corrosion resistant. Any thoughts?
Is this a fluke or is this something cold steel used for a while cuz I only have one. Thank you in advance for any information on how much cold steel used this metal

Which model? CS used bd1 for a couple years at least. I have a large and xl voyager in bd1 and like it very much. Compared to my AUS10 voyagers, it’s slightly more corrosion resistant at the expense of not holding an edge quite as long.

It's a cold steel counter point X l. It's one of my favorites. I haven't used it much cuz it's more of a self-defense item obviously. I carry it when I go downtown. Have you used it much in the field with batoning and such?

The CTS BD1 was around, but if I remember correctly CTS XHP came along rather quickly. I don't think it was received as well as expected. I have 2-3 in it I think.
