Anyone have a knife using X15-T.N Stainless Steel, i know its a stell for salt water environments but how does it compare to 440c or 154CM...

Benchmade has the Griptilian using X15-T.N Stainless Steel , but i think the steel spacers are 410..which i think would rust...not sure about that combo..

BUt can;t decide if i want the reg Grip or the H20 model?

What are you looking for? Is rust really a problem by own experience or are you just worrying?

If i remember correctly, Benchmade itself said, that the "superstainless - steel grades" are less edge holding.

As i never had problems with carbon blades ein folders (no i seldom jump in water in clothes and, whatever ppl. did to their carbon blades, oil film etc. i never did) i really see no reason for extra stainless. My personal view is, that stainless is the least important property, a blade could have.

when i grew up the s.s. steel was poor quality
we learned how to care for guns & knives & rust was never a problem
even now with good s.s. available good carbon is certainly no reason to not go out in rain & snow.

I am like one of those people who wants the best all around knife..sadly..i might go to the shore one a yr..honestly Itsmy knife OCD..lol..i have the Boker gemini which is made from that X-15 steel.. I was told that the Griptilian H20 has 410 ss spacers..wouldn't they rust out completely
