Steel Type Stamp?

Does Spyderco stamp the name of the steel that the blade is made of on the blade? I ask this because I understand VG10 is replacing ATS-55 on the Merlin. I am going to order one on line and want to be sure I get the VG10 version rather than the old ATS-55. If not, how does one determine the type of steel that is used or determine that they are getting the latest version of a particular Spyderco knife? Thanks a lot for the time and attention you spend on this thread.

Yep, Spyderco usually stamps the blade steel type on their blades. Off the top of my head, the only Spydie that I have that isn't stamped is my Jester SE.
