What type of steel is used in the Camp Knife #1760, Boot knives, Western Mountaineer #WW84, Hunters Axe #WR10 & the weight.

Also what is the weight of the BK&T Companion, Combat/Utility, and the Brute?

Is the leather washer handle on the military combat knife treated to resist rot from wet conditions? the sheath?

Thanks,
Tom

Carpediem,
Here we go....

1) 420HC.

2) CAMPANION=14.6 oz
C/U7=12.9 oz
BRUTE=21.8 oz

3) The leather, both the sheath and the handle, of the #5684[Mil-Spec Fighting/Utility knife] are treated with the government specified anti fungal/rot "dip". It looks like thick black dye. We dip every one of the knives in it up to the guard, and treat the sheaths with it.

Tom,
Here is a pic of the last knife that you had questions about...the classic Marine Combat Knife, also know as the Fighting/Utility. It has served our country well since WW2!
