What is the steel used in the Camillus Military fixed blades?
I always though that it was something like 1095 but I noticed that on the 1 Stop Knife Shop descriptions it says 420 HC.
The reason I ask is I have been considering sanding all the black phosphate off of the blade of my Pilot Knife, but I have not done so yet because of rust concerns. If it is made out of something as stainless as 420 HC this would probably be very doable without having to worry about rust.
