Steel used in SW "swingblade"

I bought a Smith and Wesson knife almost 20 years ago. It's stainless, the flat handle has been slotted in a U shape. You swing the blade and it's cover 90 degrees through the frame, then swing the blade cover 90 degrees in a different plane and the cover slides over the handle.

My questions are:

1) What king of Stainless Steel is it?

2) Has anyone seen smaller versions? I had
one that had promotional printing on it,
but lost it. :-(

Thanks,

I have one of those. I, too, am interested in hearing what the steel is. It is a fascinating design, if somewhat impractical.

I've got one and I'm not especially impressed. The steel is stainless but not especially exotic, probably just 420 or 6A.
