Was INFI used on the basic series like the basic 5, 7 etc?? or was it another different kind of steel??

All I know is: That link last week on how Jerry cut some rope 2,500 times with the same blade in teh same spot. . . was with a Basic series knife.
I've got a 9 and a 5. If it wasn't for price, I'd consider anotehr 5 and a 7, just for yucks.
A few months ago a basic 3 went for 50 in the exchnage, but you probably wont find that deal again. I recently saw a basic 9 go for almost 300, partially because of a 50$ shipping charge from Australia. A basic 5 or 7 could run you 250 give or take a 20 or two.how much are these going on the secondary market?? mint or otherwise?? cos I have not seen any for sale in a while..
