I have seen them on ebay advertised as schrade +, were any made with the good o'l' old timer carbon? I like the carbon a bit better for a using knife, and was looking to pick one of these up as a project. Get rid of the derlin and slap on some good bone, or wood scales, to make a roomate for my buck 110. I also like the less bolster on the rear, makes for a lighter knife to carry, and the lanyard hole would be handy too. So, did they make them in something other than schrade +? If any of you have a 6OT thats isn't schrade + that you'd like to trade I have a couple uncle henry 897UH stockmen that I picked up a couple days ago in a trade deal that I have no use for, and I have a 294 I could use for trading material aswell.
Thanks Guys

I believe all the 6OT's were Schrade + but as usual I could be mistook.
Love to see one re-handled. Maybe the Don (where are you?) could show us a great lanyard or thong for the rehandled 6OT.

Hello, I'm around just not on line as much, spending time with family and having fun playing my mariachi vihuela (a small five string guitar that I've had for a couple of months). Also spending time at the other forums, some discussions on immigrants over in Political.

He he, you guys are overwhelming, I'm way out of place in terms of knowledge and owning of Schrades so I haven't had much to say, but I'm lurking around learning and enjoying.

About lanyards/fobs/thongs, I've learned that too complicated ones get bulky and impractical, here's a few that I have.

Left to right:

- Adjustable (middle ball slides).
- Monkey fist.
- Four strands.- Mathew Walker, Crown sennit, Diamond.
- Probably what I make most.- two strands Mathew Walker and Lanyard knot.
- A bit bulky.- four strands Diamond,Star,Diamond.

Don Luis,
Please send me an e-mail as I have a question or 2 for you and I seem to have misplaced yours.
Thanks
