I have a knife that I cannot find any information on and would like someone that might shed some light on it. A few years back I picked up a Steel Will Apostate 1113 folder and a few months later it seemed to have disappeared, any info would be appreciated.

Why not look at their website? All the details are listed. Don't think I can link it on here but it's the first link when you google that knife.

Linking to a manufacturer site is fine

I have a knife I have purchased over 5 years ago, I have found out that production was stopped just a short while after production.....nothing has been posted on-line about this, any information would be greatly appreciated

It's a discontinued model, though if you're looking to replace yours I see it available online (Ebay, for example). What were you hoping to find out about it?

They do have the Apostate on ebay, but not the 1113..... I was told it was discontinued after a very short production run, and the last time I seen one for sale was on Amazon, and they were asking over 500 for it.

Ah, gotcha -- I didn't look closely enough, sorry. Good luck in your hunt. :)

I have the original Apostate 1108, which is the drop point version. It was one of the first "real" knives I got. It's huge! One of the biggest folders I own. I am glad they reintroduced it in a smaller size, even though I didn't get one.

It would be helpful if you told us what information you wanted, considering you own one and you already know it's discontinued, what else do you want to know?

this is the product page for the 1113, any information you want should be there: https://steelwillknives.com/our-knives/tactical-series/apostate-1113.html

2014 was when I got introduced to SW for first time, in the SHOT in Vegas. All of their reps were Russian guys so my un-educated guess is
that the company started with some Russian money on the back end and some Chinese manufacturer upfront.
They had some tanto blades that caught my interest....

....and at the next SHOT I attended at 2016 - few nice looking folders, this time made in Italy.
(sorry for the humongous picture size... I wish this forum had a function that would automatically resize any picture to a certain frame size...)

They do have a website. Google "Steel Will knives" and there is a contact info there, where you can address your question via email,
or you can use the small red tab at the bottom right corner of your screen and fill up whatever you want to ask them directly on the website.

I just wanted to know the reason this knife was discontinued, I have never seen another for sale on any site and I am not able to reach the web sites to give me information on the reason for dropping it, and help would be appreciated

Thank you, I have goggled the site and received no reply, I will keep on trying and once I have reached them....I will post and let you know what I found out

The most common reason a knife gets discontinued is because of poor sales

I didn't want to say it but probably this is the case. The reps were very un-interested of what's going on around their isle and I never saw them answering any questions.
No wonder they put them down in the basement, right next to the Mantis isle...

No problem, I have a fairly nice knife collection and gonna just put this one away in the drawer and enjoy my time here talking about knives

Rycen is probably right. It was a rather large knife from a new company, so it probably didn't sell all that well. Then again, they did reintroduce another smaller model with the same name, so clearly it couldn't have been all bad.

Companies constantly discontinue knives without giving a reason, and honestly I doubt they'll say anything more about why it was discontinued. Companies are always cutting models and introducing new ones to keep their lineups fresh.
