I cannot believe what a comfortable and well made knife the Modus is! The Modus and large Intrigue are my favorite Steel Will Knives by a wide margin. As some YouTube reviewers have mentioned, with FRN Spydercos Over $80 these days, $40-$45 D2 Chinese Knives make a whole lot of since for EDC and especially beater knives. This Modus is going to see a lot of pocket time because there are times when I simply do not want to beat up an expensive knife.

I don't have a Modus, but I own and have been carrying the Mini Cutjack since October as an EDC. Mine is the M390/G-10 version. Love this knife!

I was going to repair a garden hose that split. You know cut off a piece and install the piece to attach to a faucet or another hose. Well, grabbed my trusty SAK and started to push cut carefully and it didn't cut so well.... reached into my back pocket for the Mini Cutjack and sliced through the hose with almost no effort at all. Love that knife! That may not suggest a slicey knife, but it sliced right through the hose like butter.

Hey, it got the job done!

Love mine.
I want to buy the blue one and swap the back spacers so I have blue/blue & black/orange.

I've heard basically nothing but good things from the Steel Will budget line. Unless you get one of the uncommon lemons, they flip well, slice awesome for the price, and hold a killer edge. I've heard that they import D2 from Bohler for their budget line.

I've been considering a Resident, don't really have any knives with a thumb plate opening an I like the shape.
