Hey everyone...
I’m new to knife making, so please be gentle .

As I’m working and staring at my almost worn out Klein diag cutters, I was wondering if the steel might be ok for turning into a knife. I have several pairs sitting in a scrap bin at home. Anyone know what type of steel these might be?

They're definitely a tool steel of some sort. I'd bet they'll do ok for a knife.

I guess if anything, they could be turned into another tool

according to the website, its a proprietary steel.
I would think it woudl be a tool steel that would, at the very least, be worth a shot as a knife
