I have a ?.
I have been working with CPM 154 for pocket knives but i was thinking ATS 34 what is the deference in grinding, finish and performance's.
Thanks JRH.

CPM154 is easier to grind and polish and takes a finer edge .I think it's worth the extra money.

I like CPM-154 so much I haven't even tried ATS-34. Why go backwards when the upgrade is so readily available?

For stainless steel, I started with 154-CM and then switched to ATS-34. When I started using CPM-154, I never ordered any ATS-34 again. It is much nicer to work with.
I find all CPM steels worth the extra cost.

I remember a similar question not too long ago. CPM-154 is a bit easier to work with. Ive used 154CM and ATS-34, couldn't tell the difference working with it. I would imagine CPM-154 would be slightly easier to work, but I would bet you couldn't tell the difference if somebody did a Pepsi Challenge.
