Has anybody tried to weld with this new material. You can weld with a prophan torch on only 500 degrees F.

Will it be strong enough for welding damascus knifeblades to a steel tang?
 
Could you provide a link to the product? Other than high explosive welding I haven't heard of welds being done under 1900 degrees fahrenheit.

It sounds like a semi-low temperature solder, it could hold but I would never trust it to hold a tang onto a knife.
