Hi BBrown,

Checking the properties of the pictures you tried to post above, I find that the files were from your computer's local hard drive. Unfortunately, that won't insert the pictures into a posting here. :( The bulletin board only understands Internet addresses (called URL) but not local hard drive addresses from your computer.

But here's an easy workaround I got from Mr Don Rearic (credit where it's due).

  1. Go out to http://www.clubphoto.com and open a free account there (Yep, it is FREE! :) )
  2. Create an album there and add pictures (.jpg format only!!) from your hard drive to the album on clubphoto.com. This will create a URL internet address for that picture.
  3. Then use that URL address in posts here to include the picture in the body of the post.

Hope that helps,
Greg

David,
I'm glad someone answered your post on the Braided Guard, it looks very nice. :)
I hope I can get mine to look so good ;)

Have I got a story for you. I was doing a knife show up here in Michigan in Febuary of this year. It was Saturday at about 12 noon and as usual the table was jumping. There was a gentleman looking at a #3 and I was showing it to him in an optional kydex sheath that I had on the table. I had just flipped the knife over when out of the cornor of my eye, I thought that I saw a child who was in front of the table reach for a knife. Well, my right hand went one way with the #3 and my left hand went the other way with the sheath. Unfourtunatly, my left thumb got in the way. The resulting cut was pretty deep and wouldn't stop bleeding, so I had to put on a compresion bandage. To show that I was as nuclear tough as a Busse, I stayed at the show til it ended at 6pm. The end result was 7 stiches and a #3 sold.
Yours in nuclear cutting demos (OUCH),
Andrew Pinchen:rolleyes: :(

What no pictures!:D jsut kidding . I have the same problem sometimes when I am at a show people will grab the knife by the sheath and start yanking on them and whith my sheaths there is a firm fit no slop at all, and i keep my knives very sharp, and I always invision someone taking the knife out of the sheath and a pile of fingers lying on the table. Good thing I make the para cord lock on my sheaths because just the shadow of a Busse knife will cut ya :D

Nice work! I recently made a nuckle-guard on my SH using a totally different method as well as a different kind of cord. I'll post some pics sometime. Does the SH still fit in its sheathe with the nuckle guard on it? If so, does the nuckle guard affect the fit of the Busse in its sheathe at all?

Oh, and yes, I've cut myself with my SH. I then went out and gave it a thorough beating, but that only served to make it happier!

Throwing my hat in the ring:

I was barbequing and using my Badger Attack for ... well you know what.. checking the doneness of a nice rack of ribs..

I was about 5 beers into the grilling when my Badger slipped out of my grip. I reflexively grabbed for it. The knife hit a shelf on the grill and my thumb went into the blade.

Man - that sucker was cut from one side to the other. It took about 45 mins to stop bleeding long enough to get Crazy Glue to stay on on the skin folds.

A very bad cut - no pix though.

Lessons:
Dont grab after a dropped knife.
Crazy Glue works great for sealing up leaking fingers.
This knife slices through skin like butter.

David,

How about this for a Marqee name:

The BuyBrown Blood Braided Busse Knuckle Guard

Each custom woven guard has a splash of blood to seal the freindship. ;)

I'll take one of your sheaths and 25 of your BB B/B B Knuckle Guards. If your thumb hold out. :) :)

-Seth
