Hello!

i wanted to buy a busse knife for a while and yersterday i found a very nice one that i'm seriously considering.
I'm not an expert at all but i believe the knife is exactly this version:

http://www.bussecollector.com/subpage86.html

The knife is used and need a little sharpening, but the black finish on the blade is still perfect.

The knife also comes with a very nice fitting kidex sheath and an increbidly well done black leather sheath.

The guy wants 300 for it. do you guys think it's a fair price?

I'm thinking about selling one of my large sebbies to get the money for it...

It's about time i get a little INFI.....

thanks

i wouldn't post a link where it is for sale at the hogs will stamped..
buy it you'll love it this is truly a great steel i didn't think i would ever buy anything but my spyders but infi has to be used to beleive

Sounds like a great deal, snag it before someone else does.

They've been running $400 - $500 depending on condition. I know where there's a mint for $600

and welcome !

oh yes forgot that part welcome but this is a trough and no waiting in line so grab it . or as amy-o says the hogs will bring it

That knife with two sheaths is easily worth a good bit more than $300. Good luck.

Tell ya what... if it would help you keep your sebbie and i will take the busse.

I am such a giving person sometimes i make myself sick. :D

In order to better answer your question, please post the link to the knife in question we will be able to look at it and give the best advise on the subject of whether you should have bought it or passed it up

Thanks guys for the replies...

I cannot post an actual picture because it is not an online sale. a friend of mine that sell knives for living has it on consignement. it is exactly like the steel heart E posted at bussecollector.com, i just do not recall if the knife in question has the busse logo etched on the blade...... i'll have to check on that. i think i'll call the guy tomorrow and get the knife.... i'll sell the sebenza afterwards..... i'll post pictures when i have it.

I was going to buy a new Spyderco forester next week, but i'm glad i found this great deal! cannot wait to test the INFI myself....

I have a SH-E...and beat her regularly! :D

Just in case you haven't personally handled it - you may want to be aware that the blade has an Assymetric edge. It's partially convex and partially chisel. This makes it ridiculously sharp, easy to sharpen in the field, and is a great light chopper. What the Assymetric edge does not excel at is deep slicing. Enough folks didn't like it (or at least were loudly verbal about preferring symmetric edges) that Jerry eventually did away with it (I believe it was even done by poll).

You are getting it at a great price for $300.

Not all SH-e have asymmetrical edges. I am currently selling one on the exchange with a symmetrical edge and penetrator tip.

That was my first Busse blade, I think. Almost 2 years ago. Less than $300. Used, but not abused. Great edge. On ARFCOM. It sat for a month before I took it.

Sold it about a year later for $400. There are days I wish I didn't, but a SFNO, SHII and/or a FSH will do pretty much what it does. (Sold it more b/c the handle was ugly than anything else. I still think it's ugly, but I love the feel of it. LOL)
