Does anyone know if there is an article which gives a very thorough comaprison of the advantages and disadvantages to the best known steels such as:
AUS-8
ATS 34
154 CM
CPM 440V
420 SS
SV 30
 
440c is good
vg10 is good
ats34 is good
x15tn is good

theyre all pretty good

Here's my favorites from what I actually own and my perception:

420HC
AUS8 and 440C (tie)
VG10 and D2 (absolute opposites in what they excel at, in my experience, but they rank equally in my book for different reasons--tie)
