Steep Hike on a Hot Day !!!

I dragged Mrs Pit on a steep hike today that we have'nt done for a year or so !!!

It just happened to be one of the warmest days of the year so far.......

There were Camas everywhere ya looked, if I'd not had my breakfast I'd have been munching on their bulbs like a shot !!!

These were the knives that I took, there was a dog killed by a Cougar here last year so ya have to at least carry a knife......

Mrs Pit just pointed out that there isn't a pic of Maisy, so here she is panting at the top....she doesn't do hot weather very good !

Damn man you are lucky dog....Here we drive 4-5 hours away to reach views like that... Even then they are not as green... Great pics as always..
 
Great pics Pit. But having a pic of the TTSK makes me want it more and more every time :o

Great pics as usual, though. Maisy looks like she is pretty hot there

If that's the case, I'd be carrying a lot more than "...a knife...." :(

it's so pretty there i would not want to go home but if it where to darn hot would give that lake a try:D

Are those Meindl boots you have on? If so, how do you find them for the mixed terrain you have there.

Well spotted buddy, they are Mendl Burma's !

They are great boots that were comfy straight outta the box but they are quite heavy, I'm going to look for some hiking trainers for summer and give the Burma's a break !
 
Nice stuff. Good to see you taking out the Mrs so often lately. My wife is driven away by the Mosquitoes which are out in full force over here right now. Take off your shirt here and you will be a bloody mess in now time at all!
