Steller's Seacow and Damasteel......

Here are a pair I received from the 'World Famous' Krein Knifeshop.....

Dan Koster made the beautiful clay-hardened and Ironwood handled Santoku....7 1/4" blade and 12" OAL. Tom did quite a job on the Micro-Chef using Odin's Eye Damasteel for the 3 1/4" blade and Steller's Seacow bone handle scales w/black liners and mosaic pins for an OAL of 7".

The Steller's Seacow's closet living relative is the elephant so that's what it's pictured upon........a big ol' piece of elephant-hide with the import tag still attached.

I think the closest living relative to the Steller's Seacow is the Manatee.

Nonetheless, that is a fine looking knife.
