I got some of the Photo EZ stencil material from www.cbridge.com to try to make custom stencils. The high res appears to work best, and it is only fair. Has anyone else tried this and what were your results. I'm using a Personalizer. The screen seems to be to thick and you have to get the pad pretty wet in order to get current through it. This causes the electrolyte to bleed under the stencil. Other wise I think it would work very well.

I tried those also and quit using them. I have a Marking Methods 300a. I was using the 'high res' stencil and got them to develop easy enough after a few trial runs and they seemed to be sharp but when I used them, the etch came out fuzzier than I wanted. This may be solved with more experimentation. I recall reading somewhere (here maybe) they had some success. They will work though.
I ordered some stencils from Marking Methods and they worked great right from the start. I will go back and try the PhotoEZ again when I get a chance as it is appealing to make your own so quickly and easily.

I have had some trouble with the etch mode on my personalizer using stencils made by Electro Chem. i think they make the personalizer??
Marking works great. I just barely dampen the pad. This stops some of the shadow.
I'm going to order some of the photo etch and try it for marking.
Thanks for the post.
Take Care
