I don't know if anyone makes them or not, but I have used the wax paper make your own stencil stuff to write the type of steel and burn it on the tang for the heat treaters. I don't have anymore, it came with the etcher and won't order any as it doesn't do that great a job. It does ok if you use a type writer, I marked one blade that way and have seen a folder maker mark the steel type on the backs of his blades.

Are you talking about the type that you can use to make a custom stencil, like a customers name, inscription, etc.?

If so, you can get those in rolls from etching companies. They are wax based, so store them in a cool place at all times, except when you cut some to use.
The refrigerator works great.

You can make nice ones with an old typewriter with the lever set to the stencil setting(white).

They are usually one time stencils and thrown away after use. They do work though.
