Step Drill Bit - Precise Drilling

Guys,

I want to drill into wood scales 1/4" x 3/8" to be able to countersink hex head bolts.

On my drill press even with clamping I may be off by a hair which looks horrible.

I found a Step Drill - (.312 x .250) - (for Hidden Bolt Fastener HB250) but need a shoulder of .375.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

Ahh... Look for counterbores.

You may not find a step drill that does that, but a counterbore should be easy.

Try KBC tools. They have counterbores with interchangeable pilots.
