Stepfather could use a little smoke

Spoke with my mom earlier. My stepfather has been in a state of declining health for the last four or five years. My mother took him to the doctor recently and his liver is functioning at about 15%. He's not well enough to do dialysis, so it looks like this is it. My mother (a hospice RN) couldn't get a number from the doctor, but she thinks he might have about 8 weeks left. The only good thing I can see is that at least he's got my mom around to help him be as comfortable as possible.

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, please send a little smoke and well wishes down to Fresno for him and his family.
