Well my friends, I will officially be stepping down as an assisting Moderator on this and the Spyderco.com discussion fora during this month as Kristi has officially become the primary Moderator here, and she will remain the primary moderator on the Spyderco.com fora. Sal and Joyce will continue to contribute to all of the official Spyderco fora as they always have, and Sal of course will be found on fora far and wide, anywhere knives are seriously discussed.

I will return to being an ordinary member and troublemaker.

I set aside my title of Moderator today, but I will help Kristi to "sweep the corners" so to speak, for the rest of this month. Henceforth, it is Kristi's show.

Congrats to Kristi.

I thought you always did a fine job Carlos, thanks for the good work. Have fun as a "trouble maker".

Carlos

I already thanked you for your work on the Spyderco.com Forum, however, your work here deserves another big "Thank You"

David

Hey Carlos, I could use a hand in Community if you wish to remain a mod. ;) :)

I already said it on the other forum, but you did a great job Carlos, pity we won't be able to cause trouble for you anymore. But now you get to join us in our mayhem.

You're a cool guy, Carlos. DON'T BE A STRANGER!
:D

Thanks for all your efforts Carlos! Can tell you from experience that being a troublemaker can be lots of fun. :D Enjoy!

Thank you for the kind words everyone, and thank you for the kind offer Ken. Even without Spyderco's decision to take all moderating in-house, I'd given some thought to stepping down over the past months.

When I became an assisting Mod I had unlimited internet access during the day for personal use. With employment changes over the past year/year-and-half, I'm spending more and more time in contexts without personal internet access, and by the time I do get home I have little energy to do a thorough job as Mod. This is Kristi's day job and she is in a position to give it all of her attention, and as a Spyderco employee working at Golden she has the necessary resources to do it as it should be done.

So it is a sad moment for me, but ultimately for the best for all concerned.

Carlos,

Are you SURE that you want to do this???...In-case you don't realize it, you'll have to turn in your key to the "moderator's only club-house" (The Back End), and you won't be able to read all the stuff that us moderators will be saying about you behind those closed doors.:D.:D.

Carlos, thank you so very much for your excellent service as a Moderator!

You will be missed :(

Your advice, knowledge and fairness have kept this forum running smoothly.

See you around :D
