Frankly I have not the slightest idea..... Sorry about that but, there were many and frequently mysterious happenings in Effingham during those dark times........ I wish I could be of more help......

Ethan

If Ethan does not know hmmm( scratching Head) mystery continues Thanks for the reply, and Great knives Sir

Any and all info appreciated
First off love me some beckers, maybe a little to much or not enough depends on who you ask the wife to much, me not enough, had a previous post about this 1 as far as # on Box BK&T Model #0035 Ethan not sure, so still not sure what #0035 means. Saw a post somewhere in here with handle removed from knife and small paper and # on knife so away I go and pull handle and low and behold a #1 on paper and Blade any guesses or no rhyme or reason just the way they did it back then Thanks for your time.

The Box

The Handle Removed

weird.

disposal fee is $35, send to me in cash, with knife, and box.

The number on the tang and handles could be from the scales being matched to that particular blade. Many of the Blackjack era knives show signs of the handles being ground to fit the blade tangs. After coating, you would need to match the exact scales to the right blade so they'd match. Of course it is possible you have the very first one off the line too :)

Bill's theory is probably right on....... There was a lot of that...... Why is it on the label???........ Guesses anyone?....

Thanks Bill......

Ethan

Thanks Bill as I believe you hit it on the head, and confirmed by Ethan was going to ask other Beckerheads to check there Sterile beckers to confirm but having a severe case of Beckeritis I went through a box or 2 and found a Sterile BK2 I forgot about getting some time back, Handle's removed and there it was #15 so my guess is Blanks stamped #1-? depending on the run and as Bill pointed out Handles done for each knife because of Coating, Thanks for the Help and Feedback oh yea a few photo's or it did not Happen
