Sterile Carbon V black kukri?

I know there is a few sterile unmarked Cold Steel knives like that Bowie from the Desert Storm era? But I recently came across a black blade kukri that has same exact look and handle as a Cold Steel kukri. Seller claims it's a Cold Steel. It has no markings whatsoever and is not a second.

Anyone have any idea why this happened? Is it rare? I can show a photo later but it is 100% like a CS. Brass lanyard hole and all.

Be careful, there were unmarked foreign copies of the LTC kukri around 15-20 years ago.
