I've gotten a couple of requests to see the two knives together so here they are. At first glance they seem a lot the same and they are very similar but with some differences. First of all, I've had folks including myself see the Classic series and say that they look just like silver, but seen side by side with a real silver one, the difference is obvious even to an old man that's blind in one eye. Neither of these have ever been carried and have only been out of the cases for photos.
The Sterling Exec. is slightly larger. The blade length is the same but the handle is slightly longer. There are no pins or rivets of any kind showing on the silver version. The "engraving" is much nicer and sharper on the sterling than on the Classic. If I remember correctly, the aluminum scales on the Classic were "coined" or "stamped" (?) but the Exec. series knives where done by "automatic hand engraving". I'm not sure what that means but it looks good to me.
I just noticed the dirt in the lock release area of the 515. That's just dust that settled on some oil there and it wiped right off. Probably due to the knife being displayed with the case open.
