Sterling silver custom knives?

I'm looking to get some sterling silver slipjoint pocketknives made for groomsmen presents (that would be frame and blade made of silver). I know it's not practical, but that's the point!

Anbody know of any GOOD production pieces or any custom makers who do this sort of thing?

Thanks in advance!

They used to be common in England called "fruit knives" because of the relative corrosion resistance of the blades.

They were made slightly on the loose side with little spring pressure on the blades because of relatively low wear resistance. Sterling was the metal of choice because it hardens up nicely while being hit with a hammer.

Here's a small slipjoint that Bud Weston made for me last year. It has sterling silver scales and a Damasteel blade.

This little knife was made as a favour to me - I don't think Bud offers it has part of his regular line-up. But you can ask.
