Sterling Silver inlays on a Mnandi

For a quality piece like a Sebenza, silver is too cheap of a material (IMHO, of course) and tarnishes too easily (now that's a fact). If anything, titanium would be a great choice (and perhaps that is why CRK makes the plain Ti-handled Sebs).

Sterling? No way Jose. It would cheapen the knife.
I'm still waiting on a plain, micarta or carbon fiber Mnandi.

I'd like to see a plain jane Ti Mnandi first but some carbon fiber or even some nice damascus inlays would look great IMO.
I would take something like that over a precious metal inlay any day of the week. Inlays in silver, gold etc. are going to
scratch up and/or tarnish way to quickly. That said I would'nt say no to a nice bit of mokume for an inlay.:thumbup:

I was thinking of how sterling acquires a patina with handling and it would nicely set off the slightly colder looking titanium. By the way, if you carry sterling with any frequency any tarnish is quickly worn off.
