Here are some images from the Colorado Steve Johnson's (not to be confused with the other Steve Johnson!) new website, http://www.johnsoncustomknives.com
Our stock is very limited right now but we will be adding more blades and sheaths very soon.
Check it out for much higher-res images!

I am very interested in getting people's opinions on my dad's knives - showcasing and selling them online has proven very difficult and expensive! Please let me know what you think about his blades and the website! :)

I had a look at your website and it seems easy to navigate, with good pictures and good working type knives. There is no maker info on the website? How long has Steve been making knives? What kind of background does he have, was he a machinist, ect? This gives the customer an idea of where his skills originate from. What kind of sheath does each knife come with? You could have pictures showing the different types of options.

Here's the thing, there are lots of makers who make knives with similar styles and materials as your dad does. I also can't justify spending $350 for a knife with 440C and blue G-10?

Take a look at this website-http://www.knifeart.com/by-price-under-500.html

This is a page strickly dedicated to knives priced under $500 and you can see the makers that you are in compition with. For $350 you can get a lot of knife for the money.

i know it's tough in the knife making business, but i'm a steel snob and would never consider 440C, especially for that price point. In that price range i'd go with dozier, krein, etc.

as for the designs themselves, they're great! especially the upswept blades. really nice looking. if the materials were "upgraded" for the same or a bit lower price, i'd buy a few of those knives.

for me a true custom handmade knife ISN'T "better" per se than a machined production blade. it's all about how it performs...
