One of the greatest pleasures i've had from a single knife was from this knife. Here are some pictures documenting it's birth & growth.:)

In the developing stages, when it had just been cut out.

After Steve R. Johnson & Michael J. Smith had worked on it, it became a functional piece of art.

Recently; a third artist worked on this knife. Her name is Julie Warenski. Now, it looks even better.

A really super one by Steve Johnson. It's no secret that Julie is my favorite engraver - and that is one of my favorite patterns on the bolsters, too. Love her 24k gold weave.

Nice one!

That's really nice!! Steve has done some nice folders with Michael and Julie's engraving really is the finishing touch.

Wow. What comment can one give on such a beautiful piece of art. Only wow!

The knife is very nice (even though I'm not a big fan of MOP), but that engraving is really really beautiful and lifts the knife to an even higher level!

Kind regards,

Jos

CONGRATS Nick! That is a beautiful knife and I too think Julie's engraving is amongst the best.

Just to keep the record straight, it must be reported that S.R. Johnson was doing a batch of knives when he etched that blade and mismarked it. It should read, "S.R. Johnson/M.J Smith, Makers." :)

Cheers and Regards,
Nick
