1 Mile? Like to see the real view you get from a scope at 1 mile. Not that close in Hollywood BS

its sad that we find this so cool. when the only reason we go to these contries is to pilage their resources.

"recorded" kill. There have been much longer kills.

p.s. Peter, you are so right. Maybe you could go over there and find out exactly where those resources are in fact going. Don't forget to dress like one of them.

I am curious as to what we have pillaged in Afghanistan or even Iraq? Or even Vietnam, Korea, Germany, and Japan?

Don't deny the shots. Just how they portray it. Makes it look easy with that close up view.

There's no doubt about that. However, if you're waiting for Hollywood to portray something accurately you may have a long wait...

That's some amazing shooting and I'm sure every man on the ground that day felt the same way. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, but this wasn't a movie and tried to be "realistic"

I have sat as a spotter for someone training long distance shooting. It was amazing to see the huge arc of the contrail through the 40X spotting scope. I have also got to try shooting through the 10X rifle scope at 300-1000 meters. Both the ARTII and the Leupold Mildot. Was nothing like anything I have seen in movies or TV shows or video games. It was more like what I imagine artillery looks like but at a smaller scale.

At a mile I have a hard time believing a purposeful head shot.

I believe he outdid himself.
After all, a furlong is only 1/8 of a mile. :p

Those of you who cannot resist politicizing this discussion are going to get bounced.

Through a 10x scope, if that is what was used, a human at one mile would appear the same as a human standing 528 feet away - ~175 yards - to the naked eye.

Wow, I can't believe how sick I am of hearing this. Can't blame you too much, if your only education on the subject is Michael Moore and CNN. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but what I can’t stand is people spouting this garbage like it’s a fact. I am biting my tongue since this is not a political forum and I would get dinged if I just spoke my mind on this subject.
