Hello Everyone. I have been interesting in learning more about people's experience with Steve Ryan's knives and haven't found a whole lot through the search function and some of the discussions are a bit dated now.

I wondered if people could weigh in on their experiences with his work and/or your opinions regarding these knives.

For what I can see, most of his creations are large folders with a tactical flair. Does anyone have one that serves as an EDC or at least a regular user?

Overall, is the fit and finish as great as you expected?

Ryans are mostly "tactical," by design, but most are effective cutters as well. I have owned two customs (Plan-B, Kerambit) and several collaborations. The customs are nice, but I have not been impressed with the collaborations (Surefire, CRKT). Maybe I expect too much out of an inexpensive knife. Just my $.02.

got no experience but his knives sure have a face.

I just picked up my first Steve Ryan Knife. Here are a couple of pictures. The knife is actually quite small for a Ryan (under 8 inches total length with a 3 inch blade). It is also relatively light.

Incredible grind, lock up that is amazing, and very good ergos. From what I was told, only two of this design to that he has made. One was made with serrations and one was made without. Here it is:

sunbstance-p, Steve's knives are the subject of more lively discussion on a number of different forums, please email me.

The Custom arena here on BF doesn't get a lot of Steve Ryan action.
