This is an early mosaic damascus Goblin folder made by Steve in the early eighties. The head is carved as part of the stag and is meant to represent the giant snake of the movie Conan.

The amount of details and work is pretty cool. I sent it to Coop to get a picture up to the knife... I thought I would share with the crowd here.

Great knife. So, do they call it a goblin folder if it is actually a snake that has been carved?
You know, I asked myself the same question... :D

It's a Goblin, through and through!

The eyes. It's next to impossible to catch it in the photo, but the eyes have pupils. It's REALLY creepy....

And that's the intention! ;)

Early eighties mosaic damascus from the leader in this field. Nice.

The goblins I have seen drawings and sculptures of tend to look like orcs. They have grotesque human like features.

Nice score, Joss. Steve Schwarzer's work is first rate in every way. Great pic, Coop.

I love those goblinhead folders of his. The green eyes on this one really make it stand out. Piercing blade on one end, piercing gaze from the other...=) Nice score!

Well Keith, if you had ever met my mother in law, you'd see that this can indeed be a Goblin. :)

I really like this one, it's a kind of folder I never liked much, but I do like this one, and the stag is great. Steve is very talented on many levels.
